Press Conference To Announce Public Private Partnership In Downtown
Where: 5th Street Center
55 East 5th Street, St. Paul MN 55101
Date: 5/14/07
Time: 10:00AM
Event: Introducing CityWorks Site
Crime Prevention Net and Informational Imaging Tool for St. Paul
Imagine if we integrate the work of the private security personnel in all of our St. Paul buildings with the St. Paul Police Department. Footage of wanted criminal, robbery suspects or even lost children could be sent throughout our urban core. Alerts for road closures and severe weather could be posted and received on cell phones at over 100 buildings. Guards could report safety issues at their buildings and information could be shared responding to natural or man made disasters.
This technology will begin not next year… but now! This Monday, May 14th at 10:00AM. Mayor Chris Coleman, Police Chief John Harrington, Greater St. Paul Building Owners and Manager Chair Person Jim Scannell and American Security President Steve Klien will launch CityWorksSite. The CityWorksSite is a computer communications system developed by the NorthWrite Company to link over 100 buildings in St. Paul to the St. Paul Police Department.
We will have a live demonstration of the system, and a photo opportunity. A lift will be set up for photographers to shoot down at the Mayor and Chief flanked by over fifty representatives from many of the security firms that work in the St. Paul Area all holding cell phones and laptop computers that will be integrated in the system.
Please attend this exciting demonstration
